Founded in 2014, Troop Dallas was the first Trail Life USA troop established in the Dallas area. As a ministry of Watermark Community Church, we welcome families from a wide range of school, church, and community backgrounds and value the diversity they bring to our troop.

What are the different age groups/levels within the program?

  • Grades K-5: Woodlands Trail build foundations towards the Timberline Award.
  • Grades 6-8: Navigators deepen understanding culminating in the Ridgeline Award.
  • Grades 9-12: Adventurers develop responsible faith and wisdom in pursuit of the Freedom Award

How often do you meet?

  • As a full troop, we meet the first three Tuesdays each month.
  • On the fourth Tuesday of the month, there may be patrol or leadership specific activities.
  • On months that have a fifth Tuesday, we do not meet.

How often do you do campouts or other weekend events?

  • We try to target one weekend per month for special events (campouts, day trips, service projects, etc) while some months may have additional options.
  • Some weekend events are full troop, while others are conducted by age level.
  • In the summer there are a few different high adventure or camp opportunities for various ages.
  • Note: All adults are required to become “Registered Adults” (background check and online training) in order to attend overnight events

  • TrailLifeConnect.com: Registration, Events, RSVPs, Advancement, and other troop resources.
  • Discord Troop Server: You can see individual channels for each age level patrol as well as general information for all troop families
  • TroopDallas.com/resources: Includes quick links to troop policies, detailed uniform info, reimbursement request form, makeup lessons for Woodlands Trail, etc
