Atta boys!Boys Need Adventure!

Trailmen from Troop TX-147 spent three days backpacking in Carson National Forest. The older patrol of boys led the younger as adults supervised hiking and reading topo maps, filtering water directly from the river, stove cooking freeze-dried meals and experiencing backcountry camping. The Troop really came together, and new bonds were formed among the boys that will provide strength in the coming years.

God blessed Troop TX-0147's 1st Annual Backpacking and family adventure to Taos, NM last week. After a few full-family days together in the city, visiting the historic Taos Pueblo (Native American badge/Heritage work) and grabbing some New Mexican cuisine, the moms, sisters and younger brothers stayed in the city while the men went backpacking in Carson National Forest for three days. From hiking and reading topo maps, to filtering water directly from the river, stove cooking freeze-dried meals and other primitive camping fun, the Grizzlies Patrol (Nav/Adv boys) led the WT boys and adults on our trek through the mountains. The troop really came together, and new bonds we're formed among the boys that will provide strength in the coming years as patrols. Come check us out in the fall if you're wanting to know more about Trail Life USA. Our boys have some awesome stories to share! TroopDallas.com/ ...
